Medihelp uses a system according to which the cost of most of the generic equivalents of the original product is covered. This is called the Maximum Medical Aid Price (MMAP). If you or your doctor decide to use the original medicine item, you will be responsible for the difference in cost between the price of the original product and the MMAP. Please note that MMAP applies to non-chronic and chronic medicine, but not to PMB medicine.
