The colder months can easily be used as an excuse to skimp on exercise and become a couch potato – until it’s summer again and you long for the fitter, healthier version of you.

Medihelp believes in beating the couch potato winter blues by staying active throughout winter, and the Medihelp trapNET cycle challenge is just the thing to get your blood pumping.

This event takes place over an entire weekend of interactive wellness from 20 to 22 July 2018 at SuperSport Park in Centurion. The main attraction is an 85 km cycle road race on Sunday, 22 July for cyclists aged 13 years and older. On Saturday, 21 July the under 13s will have a chance to show their mettle at the trapNET Junior cycling challenge, with 1 km, 2,5 km and 5 km distances to choose from.

Not a cyclist? No problem! The Medihelp trapNET cycling and lifestyle expo, live entertainment and kykNET activities will keep you active throughout the weekend. We’ll jump-start the festivities on Friday with registrations for the races, expo stalls galore, live entertainment and even a Toks & Tjops live broadcast from SuperSport Park.

Entry fees:

85 km road race:
R320, which includes free entry to the trapNet Expo

Junior races:

  • R150 fot the 1 km race. Entry fee includes entry to the expo for one parent.
  • R200 for the 2.5 km and 5 km races.  Entry fee includes entry for the one parent.
Free entry to the Medihelp trapNET 85 km event is available to all Medihelp members who are registered on HealthPrint, Medihelp’s wellness programme, and on Medihelp Multisport, the Scheme’s sports club for cyclists.
