Change is coming and you’re in control

Welcome to 2024! We hope you rested well and spent quality time with the people who matter to you most.

Like with every new year, most of us start with a list of resolutions because as humans we crave change and accomplishment. But, we often do not stick to our plans as the changes we envision for ourselves become overwhelming. And in the end, we simply return to the familiar.

However, this year Medihelp is asking you to truly embrace and make the changes that are needed to take our organisation into the future.

Changing behaviour

Late last year the executive and senior management team identified behaviour required to reach our strategic goals. We’ve already noticed a few significant changes, but more must be done consistently to truly see the result on the bottom line.

Supporting you to change

We do, however, also know that navigating change is not easy and unless we see the value of doing things differently and adopting a different mindset, the future will look the same as the present.

To support you on the journey, we will invite you to take part in various initiatives – or stepping stones – that inspire change and make it easier to do and think differently – all to get Medihelp back on track and make you grow as a person too.

Other changes to look forward to

This year, we will consolidate all internal communication into biweekly newsletters and each business unit will have space to share important news.

Alida Pretorius is our communication specialist for internal communication and she will contact you soon to talk about content and deadlines.

We will also communicate monthly with our members, financial advisers, and healthcare professionals and share valuable, relevant industry and Medihelp-related information. You’ll also see more of Medihelp in the media.

Word of the year

Change is the only constant, so let’s make change our word for 2024, embrace its meaning and impact, and let Medihelp’s legacy live on.
