Online entries are open for the Medihelp Stellenbosch Cycle Tour taking place on Sunday, 19 January 2020. It is the final race to determine cyclists’ placement for the 2020 Cape Town Cycle Tour.
The route
The Medihelp Stellenbosch Cycle Tour incorporates 1 191 m of climbing over a route of 97 km and caters for novice and experienced cyclists alike. The race starts at the Stellenbosch High School and the first challenge lies directly ahead at the beautiful Helshoogte Pass, before the route descends through Pniel and meanders through the picturesque towns of Wemmershoek and Wellington. Water points will be available at the Pearl Valley Golf Estate (about 30 km into your ride), at the halfway mark shortly after the Wellington cemetery, and at Knorhoek, after which you will enter the final stretch.
