Terms and conditions

1. Winners will be announced as soon as an age group reaches a target.
2. Only Medihelp members and beneficiaries who are fully vaccinated with any of the COVID-19 Vaccines and have valid proof of vaccination are eligible to enter the competition.
3. People who are not eligible to enter the CovidCompetition; Trustees, partners, employees, agents or consultants of Medihelp, or any other person who directly or indirectly affiliated with Medihelp, or the immediate family members of Medihelp personnel. This includes their spouse, life partner, parents, siblings, stepparents, children and stepchildren. Any supplier of goods or services for the competition.
4. There is no entry fee required to enter this competition.
5. Entries reflected on Medihelp’s records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.
6. Participants in the competition understand and agree that in order to offer the competition; Medihelp shall only collect and use the personal information (including but not limited to your full name(s) and surname, identity/passport number, age, physical residential address, telephone numbers, photo, vaccination details, etc) for the purposes of execution of the CovidCompetition and will not be disclosed to a third party without the participant’s prior consent.
7. In the event that you are the winner, you agree that Medihelp may announce and publish your name and use pictures of you on marketing platforms including social media. You may also be requested to participate in marketing activities. You do however have the right to decline such invitations and the use of your image at any time.
8. The competition is open to all natural persons above the age of 20 years old.
9. Participants must reside in South Africa and be in possession of a valid South African identity document.
10. Your membership is in good standing. This means that membership fees are not in arrears or membership has not been suspended.
11. Medihelp shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these Terms and Conditions, throughout the duration of the competition and each participant acknowledge that he/ she will have no recourse against Medihelp. Such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this social platform.
12. Winners will be contacted by a Medihelp representative via their cellphone number or email and informed of their prize.
13. Should the winner not respond to the telephone call, further communication will be made via SMS or email as per the contact details on record. If the winner is not successfully contacted over a period of 5 business day from the date of the draw, the member will forfeit their prize, and a new winner will be drawn. Please ensure the contact details that Medihelp has listed for you is up to date.
14. Once all verifications of identity and vaccination have been conducted and approved, the prize will be deposited into the chosen bank account of the winner. Winners will be required to supply proof of their banking details for payment of the cash prize to be made. Banking details will be verified by Medihelp before the payment is made.
15. Medihelp’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
16. By entering this competition, the participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by the rules of these Terms and Conditions.
17. One entry will be sufficient to participate for the duration of the promotional competition.
18. Only one entry per person will be allowed for the duration of the CovidCompetition (November 2021 until all three draw targets have been reached).
19. Please note that entry is through an electronic platform. Although Medihelp will take all reasonable steps, it will not be liable for any technical problems or any lost, delayed or incorrectly received entries.
20. Medihelp will not be responsible, and disclaim any and all liability, for any loss, liability, injury, expense or damage (including direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential loss) of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, which is suffered by any participant or any other third party as a result of his/her participation in this competition and/or by any action taken by Medihelp in accordance with these terms and conditions.
21. Medihelp reserve the right to disqualify any participant that fail to comply with any part of these terms and conditions.
22. The competition and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by laws of the Republic of South Africa and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
