Is your banking details correct on the Healthcare Professionals Zone?

This is an important question as Medihelp uses your practice’s banking details to make payments directly to you. If not correct, it is very easy to change it yourself. Simply follow the four steps below.

Step 1: Log into your account on the  Healthcare Professionals Zone.
Step 2: Click on Practice Info and select Banking details in the dropdown menu.
Step 3: On the banking details page please select Edit.
Step 4: Complete the form and upload the supporting documents.

What supporting documents are required?

Medihelp will always protect your interest by keeping banking details confidential. We require documentation to update your practice’s banking details. The necessary documents are specified according to your type of practice. Read carefully and provide only the ones applicable to you. Please make sure all documents are legible and not older than three (3) months and all certified copies must be dated in terms of the Justices of the Peace and Commissioners of Oath Act 16 of 1963.

Individual practices

  • A certified copy of the practice owner’s ID document (for South African citizens) or passport (for foreign nationals). If you have ID smart card please give a certified copy of the front and back of the card.
  • A date-stamped bank letter confirming your banking details with the financial institution
  • If the name of the account holder differs from the name on the ID document, Medihelp needs a copy of the marriage certificate/divorce order.
  • Lastly, if the practice owner is not the account holder, please provide a letter on the practice’s letterhead with the signatures of both the practice owner and the person with signing rights on.

Companies

  • A company letter with the resolution signed by all directors nominating the authorised signatory/representative.
  • A date-stamped bank letter confirming the banking details with the financial institution.
  • A certified copy of the ID document of the authorised signatory/representative. In the case of an ID smart card, please give a certified copy of the front and back of the card.

Close corporation

  • A company letter with the resolution signed by all members nominating one signatory/ representative.
  • A date-stamped bank letter confirming the banking details with the financial institution.
  • A certified copy of the ID document of the authorised signatory/representative and each member of the close corporation.
  • In the case of an ID smart card, please give a certified copy of the front and back of the card.

Partnerships

  • A letter with the resolution signed by all partners nominating the authorised signatory/representative.
  • A date-stamped bank letter confirming the banking details with the financial institution.
  • A certified copy of the ID document of the authorised signatory/representative and each partner. In the case of an ID smart card, Medihelp requires a certified copy of the front and back of the card.
