The Healthcare Professionals Zone aims to make your life easier. It is your one-stop solution to access information, at the click of a button, any time of the day without having to wait for a client care centre agent to assist you.

The Healthcare Professionals Zone can help you with functionalities like:

pre-authorisation

Pre-authorisation

Get pre-authorisation for hospitalisation, PMB, and chronic medicine or refer a patient to a specialist. You can also request specialised radiology, oxygen, PMB- related services, and supplementary services for patients while in hospital.

claims

Claims

View patients' claims down to item and NAPPI code level - for easy reconciliations. The details will be on your claims statement.

statements

Statements

Easily download statements in PDF, Excel, and CSV format. Downloading the contents of the statement in CSV format allows you to import the data into your own system for reconciliation purposes.

Do you have an accounting bureau contracted to your practice?

As part of the POPI Act an accounting bureau may not register on behalf of any practice or pretend to work for or impersonate a practice in order to obtain information.

Please encourage your contracted accounting bureau to register themselves as an accounting bureau on the Healthcare Professionals Zone.

Once they are registered and have received their own username, they can inform you to link them to your practice.

You can then easily link them to your practice and grant them the appropriate access they need to claims, statements and the patient centre should they handle benefit confirmations on behalf of the practice as part of your agreement.

It is absolutely free to make use of these amazing features. All you have to do is register your practice manage your Medihelp business.

Do you have multiple staff members who each need their own access to the Healthcare Professionals Zone?

Medihelp has added a new feature where each staff member can have their own username and password for access to your practice profile on the Healthcare Professionals Zone. After you have registered your practice on the Healthcare Professionals Zone and logged in, all you need to do is;

  • Click on practice info, then select "Link & View practice staff"
  • Click on add new user, complete the applicable fields and identify each staff member's role in the practice
  • Select the applicable access required and submit
  • Each staff member will now receive an email to confirm their own unique username they have to use to log in. They will be prompted to set a password.

Who has access to the Healthcare Professionals Zone?

The Healthcare Professionals Zone is open to any active healthcare professionals who's practice details have been updated after it was received from BHF.

Please ensure that Medihelp always has your most recent and updated contact details. You can check the contact details that Medihelp has on record, by viewing the practice contact details on the Healthcare Professionals Zone. If you need to update your contact details please log on to Medpages and update all your contact information there or you can update them by emailing info@medpages.info or phone 021 441 9700, or email suppliermaster@medihelp.co.za.
