The COVID-19 pandemic has altered our way of life, but has also presented new opportunities. For the first time in its 115-year history, Medihelp Medical Scheme initiated virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) procedures, which were approved by the Council for Medical Schemes, to protect the health of members. A virtual AGM makes it possible for members to participate in the event despite the restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The virtual AGM will make use of an uncomplicated and user-friendly process to ensure a no-fuss experience for all participants. Members will be able to view a video of the entire content of the AGM as from Thursday, 18 June 2020 at 14:00, and they can interact by submitting questions and comments as well as second or approve items on the agenda. The event will include an overview of the financial performance of the Scheme and the announcement of voting results.
Medihelp is also pleased to share its 2019 Annual Report, which contains an overview of the Scheme’s overall performance in 2019, a governance report and the report by the Board of Trustees as well as a summary of the audited financial statements for 2019.
